In a dramatic reversal of position, after claiming for 50 years that water fluoridation would cause no harm to anyone the and supporting the universal application of fluoridated water to every household the American Dental Association quietly notified it's members in what they called Interim guidance on Reconstituted Infant Formula that they NOT use fluoridated water because the baby would receive too much fluoride. The result would be dental fluorosis a permanent scaring of the forming tooth enamel.
